Honestly, why would anyone post such worthless information is really amazing.

Moderators should close this thread!!!!
Don't forget, the OEM has to meet durability, drive-by sound, emissions and a plethora of other requirements that a tuner does not. So I would expect the OEM to dial it back a bit (which may be something that can be put back with a tune ). When you look at it, boost is boost (for the most part, aside from the efficiencies of different compressors), so it's not unreasonable to see 625 from 7 psi on a PD blower. And depending on what drivetrain losses you want to use, the ECS kit is around 665-682. So IMO, 625 is pretty reasonable.

Nope....he's not angry...
He's an **** all the time.

I get the feeling we should consider ourselves privileged that he's stepped off his self made pedestal to grace us with his words of wisdom.

Those numbers are believable....as for the auto trans option...I'd have to see it to believe it.

Do you plan on commandeering the track from the Spring Mountain Driver Instruction staff, or are you planning on renting the track to show me just how fast you are with one of the "toys" from your "stable"?
Wow.

Nytmare... you're such a ZR1 hater... it's funny... Torque has ZERO to do with racing on the big end...

If it's 625 HP... and weighs 100lbs more than the ZR1... it's not going to beat it from a roll, sorry.

You're one of the guys that also believed the Z-06 was a better 'track car'... too... oh but wait... now the the new Z-06 is supercharged... so 'now' it's ok?

Can't wait for the 'official' stats to be released. The C7 Z-06 will be a great car for sure. But seeing your posts are sad... the ZR1 guys don't go in the Z-06 threads stating 'we have a better car'... your car is going to get owned'... but clearly you've got some pent up emotions here... what are you going to do when the General comes out with a ZR1 in a couple years... just try to run and hide?

And then Nytmare, you can find something else to complain about.

Maybe an option called L-88, LT-88 or something along those lines. Now that would be real exciting, an FI motor and a NA motor for the Z06.

Hater and lier? , you realize I did own the cars I speak of, the only pent emotion here is you not being able to have bragging rights anymore, Z06 will own the ZR1 everywhere. As far as tq is concerned I was answering a question that has nothing to do with what you are talking about.
I just state facts, obviously some people can't handle it
I don't keep any of my cars stock, and if I don't buy a Z06(I probably will)
There is nothing in my garage that will get owned by a stock GM car, you see I buy all brands., I'll save this post where you state that the old model will beat the new model in a straight , I predicted that ZR1 fanboys would argue about a small hp difference if it came to that(I still think 605 will be enough with the new tech , and yes if its a centri, it won't run out of steam up top, it's just a fact.. Sorry)
Back to topic
Just wait for the numbers, I'm sure they will put everything to rest, before you start getting to defensive , it's called evolution, the new model will and should always be better.
Byw please find where I said that the z06 is the better track car, I've NEVER stated that! I have road raced my cars a couple of times! I'm a drag guy! don't put words in my mouth just wanting to bicker.

I have been thinking 625 hp as the 700 claims make no sense. It will be a drivers race imo with maybe a slight advantage to the ZR1. I think the z will be much quicker on track though.

625 hp vs 638hp is nothing. It boils down to who has more favourable gearing, tires, traction control and most of all the driver him/herself how well he take his car down the straightaway.

No...the ZR1 guys go into C7 threads in the C7 sections telling C7 owners that they "have a better car".

But back to the C7 Z...
I'm very interested to see how well GM is going to control charge temps. If, as ECS has shown, we are only looking at 7-8 psi, it may be less of an issue. But for those of us who will likely track the car, I'd like to know it's not going to fall down after heat soaking.

And from a straightline standpoint, as the efficiencies that the A6 has over the M7's in the C7, this car will run quite well from 0-anything if GM puts the 8-speed auto in it (assuming that tranny will perform as well as the current A6).

It's going to heat soak, have brake fade. That's why GM said it would be the most TRACK CAPABLE Corvette ever made!

Yeah but that's a special edition car going to be produced for a year or so? They are going to milk that ls7 as much as possible. Hope they got the dropped valve issue fixed.
