I have seen numerous times on the net that the new Z06 will have a special surprise. My guess is 8 speed DCT. Thoughts?

rcallen, that image actually gave me a different idea, that I haven't shared with anyone... when I saw that image a couple months back... I thought 'FRC' of the 99-'04 corvettes... ('01 to '04 Z06)... that this would be another way to save weight over all the glass from the hatch version.

But I just don't know if they'd go that radical to save weight.

The solid axle comment was a joke. Schotz got it. Comment was made because of all the other threads where all that folks post is how fast the C7 Z06 will be, in a straight line, versus C6 ZR1, etc.

They went away from the FRC due to aerodynamic reasons, so it's unlikely to see it back.

I'm gonna say Vert option as well now that they went that way with the C6 GS and everyone has wanted a Vert option if not a Targa version as well
