C7.R #4 at Daytona at night
Unfortunately #4 didn't complete the full 24 hours but it sure looked good when it was on the track. #3 did better and I believe it finished at 16th place. Not too bad for the inaugural run but there is certainly more performance to be rung out of the C7.R and it will be interesting to see how the tuning goes as the season progresses.

The C7.R and one of the Corvette Daytona Prototypes going into turn 3 together. This DP car placed 3rd. In fact the first four places were all Corvette DP cars. This was shot at 8PM and the DP car was 7th place at that time. Turn 3 is pretty dark as is most of the infield but the glowing brakes show up well in the dim light. They only light up for about 2-3 seconds at most so the cooling ducts must be doing a pretty good job. I know the DP cars use Carbon Ceramic brakes and some actually endure the whole 24 hours of abuse without a change of rotors or calipers! Anyone know if the GTLM class the C7.R runs in allows CC brakes or are they limited to steel?
