Default Footage of Z06 idling

There are no big revs or anything in this video, but the Z06 is definitely louder than the base C7. And it looks badass!

Hard to tell over a video but it does seem slightly louder. Prob. due to larger headers and exhaust.

Imagine it with some aftermarket headers!

I do agree, I would definitely take the grey car any day over the yellow one.

Too bad they didn't darken the tone just a smidge; would be perfect with a richer tone.

Wonder if the performance exhaust is standard on the Z06?

I love the slightly beefier look the Z has over the base Stingray.

Some people are saying the tail lights are clear, after seeing this video they look smoked to me. I like it.

wowwww, that video absolutely sold me on the looks of that car. i'm not a big yellow fan and i don't like how all the black vents and such contrast on some of the colors but that is one BEAUTIFUL car. cannot wait to see one black and lowered.

They did everything I was going to do on my base C7! Smoked headlights and taillights, black out (remove) braces (chrome trim) with the added touches of a wider body and more aggressive stance.

Glad I waited a year!

When they screwed with the firing order at the advent of the LS motors, the idle tone was forever ruined. This is why the mustang sounds so great (and ford GT and every small block Chevy before the LS). There's nothing to improve it unfortunately.

Yeah I've heard the firing order change had a negative impact on this.

As to nothing to improve it, I dunno. Callaway whipped a very nice exhaust for my ZR. Great tone with a richer deeper sound, slightly louder than stock with no drone whatsoever. Great exhaust.

Others have done similar (altho with varying degrees of success on avoiding drone).
