Z06 Purchase
Does anybody here really think you can have a Z06 by years end or will it more likely go into Q1 2015 ? If they push it out to early 2015 you may as well wait a few months for the 2016 model. Too bad they can't get their act together and let us have it Sep 2014 so we still have time to drive it. An early 2015 availability is bad for many of us because the car will have to sit in the garage until April due to winter. Just curious what the rest of you think.

But back to the Z06, isn't GM calling it a 2015?

I just put a deposit down from a dealership I have dealt with for many years......told me I can start my ordering on Dec 1st......then 2/3 months for delivery.
If it goes after April 1st thru 15th....here in Colorado the season starts,
then I might as well wait for the 2016 model......
I still have a 2008 Z06 that I love!!!!!!!

The biggest problem is the car isnt finalized yet. Still tons of testing & tweaking to be done. Considering the high torque output, custom 8sp auto tranny, aerodynamics and best-performing-Corvette-ever claims I wouldn't be surprised to see it get pushed back 2016.
Lets not forget that the Z06 uses all of the extra components from the already-constrained Z51 package on the Stingray. It has the magnetic suspension, e-LSD, PTM, gearing & extra cooling.

I'm in no hurry....2015 or 2016 model, whichever I can get for UNDER msrp. Not a "gotta have it at all cost" kinda guy!

I agree, but I could also point out that the price was bumped around 5K from 06 to the 07 model due to the overwhelming response. Also, it is pretty obvious that the 06 models made more power than 07 and newer Z's. Hope they buck that trend on the C7 Z.
