Great video. You can tell he is very excited about the Z-car.
While the vid covers a lot of ground, as to the 8 speed auto, Tadge indicates it will shift faster in all "shift events" (up, down, partial throttle, wide open throttle, etc.) than anyone else's DCT, it is light and compact, and it will be stout enough to handle track heat. In short, they covered everything that needed to be addressed.
Cannot wait to see the first testing. This transmission may well be a game-changer, at least for street cars. It may not be racy enough for a true race car, but it sounds like it will be more than stout enough for a 30 minute lapping session....
Also, loved the dig at the Viper--"[The Z06] is not going to be crude...".
