Z06 versus the "New" Supra
Thought I'd see what you guys think of the new Supra concept versus the upcoming Z06.
I love the new C7 Z06, and it will undoubtedly be faster than the new supra. It has a "Race-car" like design to it, but at the same time is very "busy" looking.
The new Supra concept is just pure sleek sexy looking:

Busier than that?
I strongly dislike the Proboscis Monkey look of that front bumper.

Just like clothing fashion cycles so do car lines.. edgy, rounded, edgy, rounded.. I believe the C8 will return to more rounded off lines.
BMW and Mercedes usually set the trend a year or two before the rest..
Check out this 2015 Mercedes... looks like its getting rounded off again like models 10-15 yrs ago.

What's not to like, looks good, most likely reliable and high re-sale, their arch nemeses will likely be the NSX, but competition is healthy, maybe the guys at the ZO6 office can incorporate that steering wheel. Of course the production version will be de-tuned and more eye friendly to the masses.

I kind of like the looks of that Supra concept. Will be interesting to see what a final production version would look like. But at the end of the day, I'd still take the Z06 over it.

I like it! It's very progressive and follows form and function. The front end alone looks like it generates MASSIVE DOWNFORCE. I can't wait to see the final production design. I'd stick with the "BIG NASTY" though....

Looks like they got their design inspiration from the Bertone Mantide that Jason Castriota did back in 2008. Castriota has also designed the SSC Tuatara. He's one of the best designers in the world today. The Mantide was based on the ZR1.

Looks good. Glad the supra is back. I believe it will bedesigned as a cooperative effort with BMW.
I would choose a corvette but I like to see the segment competition grow.

Saw them both in person at the Detroit show(posted some pics of it here) it's still a concept overall it's "okay" but it has a lot of gimmicks that won't make it to production IMO. Honestly it looks frail and toylike to me.

Reminds me of the Mercedes SLS. It will be interesting to see how much of this concept stays in production. Being Japanese I suspect ultra complex hybrid power and very limited production.
