Granted, it's still gonna be a fantastic machine. I did not know this car had the most weight amongst all generations. Granted, still has the highest hp amongst all generations however, the power to weight ratio was lost by the zr1 still.

A proud day for all.
If that is really correct that is sad. But the rags have a tendency to be wrong about a lot of "facts".

Just so confused as to GMs approach to this car in regards to weight. I understand the regs and the required safety features that are now mandatory but gosh, 400 pounds heavier than the last z06 produced?

Let me get this straight, the three other currently active C7 Z06 weight threads weren't enough, so you decided to start a fourth?

Boatloads of C3s heavier than the upcoming Z were bought by consumers - 3500 to 3700/3800 lbs was common in that gen.
Hell C4 ZR-1s were nearly 3500 lbs.

Off the top of my head I believe that the late C3's were heavier.... and woefully underpowered.... but never sold better.. go figure.

And they didn't have: rigid frame, monster brakes, huge meats, posh interiors, comfortable ride, great hi-way mpg, 650 hp, 650 tq, e-diff, ptm, mag shocks, current crash cert, 200 mph top speed, awesome acceleration, awesome braking, great handling, etc.
Still wouldn't mind having a chrome bumper LT1 tho. Cool looks and that great solid lifter mill.

Go get some facts please..
Its embarrassing trying to bash the C7Z without having absolutely no clue whatsoever about what the hell you are talking about. It really is pathetic LOL.
And no I still believe the C7Z will literally blow the doors off a C6Z. Z07 or not. The C6 gen is old new. Join the reality!

I'm still laughing at the gentleman who posted up...the last three threads about the 3524 lb weight of the new z06 weren't enough and we needed a fourth......
If the trolling keeps up gm might have to follow the Italians and their method of base weight.....no fuel or fluids.....to avoid the trolling sensationalists...
When a six cylinder Porsche 911 turbo weighs a couple hundred pounds less than a v8 corvette wake me up...
