Default 2.95-seconds to 60!! First-Ever Production Z06 With Tadge Juechter

hey guys

wanted to share this amazing set of photos and exclusive info from Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter this week.

About 50 new photos of Z06 Coupe and pre-production Z06 Convertible at the below link, plus delivery timetables and PDR info.

that is Tadge in the driver seat!

VERY EXCITING performance stats for the new automatic, plus info about the 2015 Corvette Performance Data Recorder.
This built-in HD camera can overlay track data onto your videos. Very cool. A great idea.

Really nice, like your slide show posting....more people should do that here. That new wheel color pops more than chrome!!! I love it....nice compromise between the old school chrome look and the black wheel fad....should be the most popular choice.

Default Thanks Tadge!!!

You had me worried with the 0-60. Us Fanboys thrive on our corvette developments. We also LOVE picking on our snooty 911 Turbo S$ acquaintances.

The ride height on that 'vert is just about perfect. Like some C7 owners, I brought mine down ~1/4"-1/2" and am very happy with the stance. I'm guessing it might be the same with the Z06's as 'some' of the cars out there look to be sitting a little high.

Well, sold my beloved C7 Z51. On the list for a the new BAD *** Z... But I have a problem, just can't fall in love with the rear spoiler and the (add on) looking bolts. Click on the first link of the BS Z... Looks like the bolted on the side blade to the stock Z51 spoiler...

A C7 convertible dropped on stock bolts looks even better! I know.

Here's the LB coupe Tadge drove there but seems to still sit at stock height... oh and ignore the new Mustang in the background.

What is the deal on the giant bolts ( if that's what in fact they are )?
There is a pic of a NRB around here and they stick out like a sore thumb.

The blue car looks like it needs an inch or so.

Given that they both look to be Z07 and Tadge drove them there a relatively long distance, did anybody ask him about the ride and road trip impressions? I know this has been hotly debated on the forum and perhaps we can get another data point.

Hey hey. Yes, he said it rode smoothly with the standard MR shocks on comfort or normal. Also said it was hitting mid 30s MPG with cylinder deactivation!!!

To Daventop's question of when the Autobahn day was, it was the Midwest Auto Media Fall Rally on weds October 1.

Yes they are Allen Hex head screws. The spoiler is part of the z07 option pack.

The point is for the spoiler clear section's height to be adjustable. All of the pics show it in its highest position. Or the clear part can be removed for serious 210mph attempts, when having it high-mounted could add too much rear downforce drag.

I think they look pretty cool , but that's subjective of course
