Cheap Wheels For The Track
I might be looking for a set of spare wheels for the track. I'm thinking once the Z07 gets here it would be possible to mount the Michelin Cup tires on a set of spare wheels for track only and just put Michelin SS on the OEM wheels for other use. I would be looking for a set of back wheels but I'm not paying any $500 a wheel for them. Who would make these wheels?
Of course, doing this would be a lot of work and money so I might just put some Michelin SS on the car and leave it at that.

I wouldn't risk my life using a sub $500 wheel on the track with R compound tires in a car with the power, handling, and braking capabilities of this car.

My plan is to give my OEM C6 Z06 wheels with Hoosiers already mounted on them a shot. My hope is that they clear my calipers and have a proper offset and of course look good. My car will be a non Z07 so your caliper clearance might be different than mine.
These wheels can be found for around 5-600 a set. Obviously your cups won't fit these though.

What sizes are you running?

Any wheel that fit a C6 ZR1 will fit a C7Z. Some of the test mules were running C6 Cup wheels.
I wouldn't go with C6Z fitment because I don't know how much bigger the base calipers are on the C7Z than the C6Z calipers. IIRC, the C6Z calipers were very flat and gave you a lot of spoke clearance.

Agree with the above posters: I'd never place my life in the hands of cheap 'knock-off' type wheels on a race track, be it a road course or 1/4 mile. Spend the money and buy a set of OEM wheels that have been taken off someone's car, OR spend good money for high quality track only wheels.

I too have my stock C6 Z wheels fit with Hoosiers and am hoping they will fit my C7 Z, it is not a zo7 car but stock C7 Z. I am sure the sensors will not work, would be great if I can use my almost new Hooisers though. Anyone know?

I have a set of F14 in 18x10 and 18x12 that I run my slicks on. I am being told that they would fit a C6 ZR1 so hoping they will fit my new C7 Z06 with the Z07 option

I have a set of stock wheels off my c6 z06 that I will be putting in the for sale section when I return from vacation on the 22nd. Got to many sets of wheels and need to clean out the garage. I'll be glad to sell them for $400 and you pay shipping if they will fit your C7. PM me if your interested.

Our OEM GM wheels are not cheap wheels however they are the lowest price you will find on new OEM GM cup wheels at $1499.00 per set plus shipping. We supply the majority of the other vendors and many Chevy dealers.. Once we establish the 2015 C7-Z06 shares the same offsets at 40/59MM, which are the same as the 2009-2013 ZR1, 2013 427 Vert, 2012-2013 Z06 with carbon package then they will be a great alternative wheel for the 2015+ Z06 customers. We also have the OEM GM Q8K machined face/grey anniversary cups for $1549.00 per set plus shipping. No core charges!!

There's not going to be very much tire selection in the 335/25-20 tire size. The Pilot Sport Cup 2 will probably only be offered as a run-flat tire in that size.
The next problem is that the 325/30-19 tire size has a fairly tall sidewall at 3.8". However, some tire availability is coming along:
RE-11 (new 200 treadwear compound)
Front, 275/30-19, calls for a 9.5" wide wheel
Front, 305/30-19, calls for an 11" wide wheel
Rear, 325/30-19, calls for an 11.5" wide wheel
Pilot Sport Cup 2
Front, 295/30-19, (not car specific and probably not a run-flat), calls for a 10.5" wide wheel
Rear, 325/30-19, (TR has both a Porsche-specific and a non-car-specific tire while the Michelin website only shows the Porsche-specific), calls for an 11.5" wide wheel
Also, r-comp tires will probably be easier to find in 18/19 or in 19/19. There is an R888 in 315/30-20 tire size.
Another note, Z06 front/rear wheel offsets are 40/59 while the base Corvette has front/rear wheel offsets of 56/79. Just use the correct wheel offset for the car and then use the wheel width that the tire calls for

I think adding -10mm of offset to all four corners will make the car look and handle much better without rubbing on the fenders.
I probably wouldn't add the stripe myself. Not sure it would survive the elements and would ruin the resale value.
