Hey guys, official review of the Z06 was posted by Car and Driver last night, and it set two new records: 128 feet stop from 70 mph, and grip of 1.19g.

The Z06 is definitely outside my budget, being a med student with way too much debt, but I would have never guessed that one day I'd be wanting a GM car as my dream car. I hope those of you lucky enough to own one on these forums take good care of it, I'd be wanting to snag one in a few years!

I was in this exact same position when the C6Z came out..then in 2008 when I got out of school..I said F it, and bought the car of my dreams. Lived like a rat because you know we don't get paid chit out of school....but had the car of my dreams. No regrets now.....as I am in a great position to get a C7Z, but am holding off for the A8. Good luck man..you'll get there.

I have a number of friends that are docs (ER, internist, ped's, ortho) and always marvel at their dedication and commitment. From what they tell me, it's taking longer to make tons of dough, due to reform, insurance, and student loans. In any case, I commend your drive and focus.

No doubt, you will be able to afford virtually any car you want down the road. Time is on your side, because Corvette isn't done making some special cars.
