2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Official Fuel Economy Numbers Released
The 2015 Corvette Z06 with an eight-speed automatic transmission delivers 13 mpg in city driving and 23 mpg on the highway, according to newly released fuel economy numbers by the EPA. Although the 2015 Corvette Z06 with the eight-speed automatic is subject to a $1,300 gas-guzzler tax.
In comparison, the 2015 Corvette Z06 with the seven-speed manual transmission delivers 17 mpg in city driving and 29 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. This version is not subject to the gas-guzzler tax

It will be interesting to see how much this will influence the total M7 numbers vs A8

Surprising the A8 could not match the 7 speed manual transmission. (4mpg less in the city /6 mpg less on the hwy with the automatic is surprising) usually the computers are more efficient.
Personally could care less as I heard on the motor trend video the A8 z07 package is the fast setup for the track.....
I bet real world the A8 gets better mileage than the manual....
I've been driving manuals for over 35 years and my next vetted going to be the A8.

This article is incorrect.. no way the manual z06 gets that mileage. They are confusing it with the normal Stingray.

Information I posted was from owner of Corvette Action Center who received information from EPA release

Wow. That information was released three weeks ago and promptly posted on this forum. Corvette Action Center is really on the ball. And they got it wrong to boot (the manual numbers are for the Stingray.)

Queried CAC owner and he stated link he was informed on was currently down!? So, don't shoot the messenger, was just relaying information passed to me.
Was hoping it was true and cars on hold would have one less reason to be on QC-hold and could possibly start shipping on Monday.
REMEMBER - stock can NOT ship without a window sticker! Of course ya'll knew/know that!

They may be referring to this article published today, as mentioned above:
http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2015...-released.html
But as stated above, the line about the manual transmission is erroneous. The EPA website clearly shows it is the Stingray and not the Z06.
There have been a dozen or more of these articles published in the last few days, but the one quoted by Corvette Action Center is the only one to have misunderstood the EPA data. Everyone else reported correctly that the EPA website includes only the automatic.

If you go to the fueleconomy.gov site for the manual 2015 corvette, it shows an MSRP from $54,000 to $91,650. In my mind, this has to include the Z06. It appears the EPA figures are the same for the base and the Z06 with the M7.

For the Z06 the EPA lists the car as having a supercharger: "2015 Chevrolet Corvette 6.2 L, 8 cyl, Automatic (S8), Supercharger, Premium Gasoline" Here's the identification for the M7 stringray "2015 Chevrolet Corvette 6.2 L, 8 cyl, Manual 7-spd, Premium Gasoline" (no supercharger).
