I 've been at 1100 since 09/07/14. Today walked into the dealership and was surprised that the order had been accepted today. Allocation review was Saturday.

According to the email Mike@Criswell sent my courtesy delivery dealer, my order will be at 3000 on Weds.

Doc, I believe you went in when the first 1000's were allowed in, then they closed the window, and opened it again last Wednesday/Thursday, when my MacMulkin received their allocation.

Good to hear Snorman. You must have been able to skip the 2000 & 2500 steps and went right to "Order Accepted by Production Control".

I'll keep my fingers crossed. Think we are still looking at 01/19 for a possible A8 production start date.

I was so excited Freeman, from today's unexpected news, I can't remember if he said 1/12 or 1/19 as to production starting. Truthfully I went there to see if the new z06 brochures had come in yet and to add a carbon fiber dash to my order.

Chevy Customer Service on that other forum told me this morning mine is now at 2000 - "Order Accepted by GM."


Like Snorman, I expect to be at 3000 shortly.

I added the CF Dash to my order because I really liked it in the Blue Premier Addition 2014 I saw this year. Looks great! My plan is to add CF Aero after I get use to my Stage 1 cars ride height. Want the rear wing bits first.

I received the call on Thursday, went over my order. It was entered and went right 1100, got an email Friday stating if there were going to be any changes to the order, they would have to be made before Tuesday!

So I'm hoping for 3000 by Wednesday, after your at 3000, no changes can be made. Tomorrow we will move

Update: still at 1100, 12/17/14 maybe next week, next month who knows.....all good things come to those who wait!

I don't think we're supposed to link directly, but it's Stingrayforum. They also have a running Customer Service thread, but they answered before the CCS folks on our forum. Same info, though. A lot of the same posters as here.

Last time i checked was Saturday and was still at 1100. If mine was going to move would it have done so by now? I think I have 3 constraints going against me though...A8, painted aero bits and body color roof. I may be at 1100 for quite some time. :-( Is there any hope of 2000 for me soon based on what you are seeing or hearing?

The only constraint to be concerned about is the CFZ (painted aero package) assuming its a non 707. Your dealer should be calling you tomorrow if there is a constraint to give you the option to modify your order so that it can go through.
