Finally Ran into a C7Z
I'm an old man who lives in the North Georgia mountains, and on the rare occasions that my arthritis and urinary incontinence allow, I take my ancient C5 out to Georgia 515 for some fresh air and exercise. This morning, I happened upon a gorgeous, blue C7 Z06. Damned impressive looking piece of work, if I say so myself.
In any case, the driver decided to demonstrate how the march of technology and the ability to flex some big bucks had relegated my aged steed to the scrap heap of automotive history. No video (I'm 75 and digitally challenged) but I'd guess 7-8 car lengths 65-150 or so.
Age and 427 cubic inches and an F1C Procharger will beat youth and a new Z06 every time.

When you have a 9-second 1/4 mile capable car, a stock C7Z (or much of anything else) isn't going to have a chance. Glad you guys enjoyed the rush, and hope everyone was a good sport and played nice.

Well done! Nothing better then having a sleeper for just the right time. My 07Z had a Torquer cam and LT's. Looked stock and even had Chrome wheels, but the pull from 4-7K was unbelievable. Had this punk in a pullied CTS-V that wanted to teach me a lesson. After the third time, I rolled down the window and said: dude, you lost, give it up

Today's action gave me a nice boner, but I'll be damned if I remember what to do with it.
BTW I'm 903 at the wheels at 12 psi. Big traction issues in the low gears (335/30-18 Pilot Sports; I'm not a drag racer at heart).

I'm not quite as old as you are, but I do know what you are talking about.

I'm sure he figured out Mark's C5 is NOT stock.
