That's b/c although that is what we would love for the Z to rip-off down the 1/4 mile, its unfortunately just not accurate information (especially the trap speed)!

In the other thread referenced above someone said vette mag quoted the times provided by GM and not what Halltech stated on facebook. I don't know because I do not have the mag. Wish Halltech would step in and eliminate the confusion. And while we are at it I cannot believe one of the tuners do not have anything but dyno numbers to offer. Where is a pdr video, track slip or roll on video?

There will be a lot of this guys. Different performance times by different drivers. Some good like the one posted (which could actually be true) and some bad (as were already posted as well). The bottom line is the car is a BEAST! Those who are skilled enough to use the power that's available will post these kinds of times and even BETTER! Others will not! Its a drivers game...The trolls will argue otherwise or at least try to...But after a while they will fade away into another car forum (hopefully hellcat) and try to disrupt things over there. Fortunate for most Corvette owners, we are a different class of owner/driver. Not swayed by BS post from people who don't matter in life. Enjoy the cars brothers! Lots more coming!

People aren't trolling this forum. they want answers. that's all.. Chevy, so far have relayed that it's due to the warranty, OK fine. but obviously Chevy isn't happy with the numbers either as there are STILL no times from the nurburgring?? why? the acceleration times through the quarter mile can be manipulated through a dozen factors (excessive cooling time/technique etc) but the lap times cannot.. and although it's not uncommon for a car to wipe out while testing at one of these tracks i find it quite interesting that one of the most experienced Chevy Corvette drivers wiped out a Z06 at the ring.. i think it speaks to trying to push the car beyond to achieve a time they can post. and unfortunately for GM, too may people are there, observing for them to control some bogus time.... unlike a quick run down the strip..
Idk, i love the idea of the car, looks of the car and would love to have one. i'm just disappointed in the overall presentation in the "owner's" hands so far...

Have not seen this edition, but I saw a post, and heard the same thing from one other source. When the MAG hits the stands, we'll see.

It is possible. The GM numbers were for the full aero package. A good run with the base aero should be substantially faster.
I'm not saying it is true, but it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

I have the issue. Vette magazine did not achieve these results anywhere that I can see. They ran 11.5 @126. Not sure why these results keep getting brought up. I'd remove the FB post.

There are times/speed (the 11.5/126) in the current VETTE magazine (white C7 ZO6 on cover) that were obtained at the October press day for the ZO6. If there have been tests subsequent to that Oct press day, no one knows (at least no one here knows). So this has generated confusion to say the least.
