Driving on PSS Tires and cold temps - damage concerns
My garage is heated, avg. temp is about 60. Outside temps this week in 20's. My oil change is scheduled for one of the low temp days.
Will I be doing any irreparable harm by driving to the dealer and back? Assuming they keep the car inside all day to keep the tires warm.

Just don't get stupid - drive in weather mode and don't accelerate with any kind of aggression and you will be fine. Otherwise, back end may want to meet the front on the cold tires!

Just don't stop anywhere while on your way to the dealer. If the tires start warm, they will stay warm while driving. AND VERY IMPORTANT--MAKE SURE they keep it inside after the oil is changed. Default protocol is to put it out!
Better yet, just wait for the car to be done instead of dropping it off.

i drove my DD BMW with MPSSs on it down to 17F last year. (austin texas). we had a fairly cold winter for TX. i recently noticed that the fronts (the rears have since been replaced) have hairline cracks in the rubber in the longitudinal grooves between the tread blocks. the fronts have 30kmiles and are nearing EOL, not certain when they started or if it's related to the driving in the cold, but of the 12 MPSSs i have, they are the only ones which have seen that cold a temp and are the only ones with the cracks.
