Default Pricing

Those of you that have ordered your new Z06, what are you experiencing with price? Are you paying full sticker price, premium to sticker, or working out some discounted deal?

Most of us are paying sticker. Never pay over. Some of us use GM points for some discount.

Or...wait a few months and save $20k when they start Supplier, Credit Union, etc discounting. Unless you want to throw away money, I'd hang tight another 8 weeks...just saying.

Or...you may die before significant discounts are available. Spend your money while you still can!

A few thousand off sticker to order from a small dealer who got an allocation. But I know a dealer with 2 Z07s in stock with discount if you don't want to order.

This, for now, is the best strategy.

Also, buy some GM points.

I can wait awhile for supply and demand to settle down before ordering and taking delivery at the Corvette Museum. After six months or so, things should normalize as well as any early production problems surfaced and solved.

That's a little optimistic. Those discounts are invoice plus $200. More on the order of $9-10,000 perhaps.

That is true but if a couple of thousand of sticker is that big a deal why do the museum delivery? Does that not cost extra? I have never done that. Plus some of us would have to travel quite a distance and drive the car home. I think people should do what they want. Me I just want the car in my garage for the least amount of money possible. I have been through the factory a couple of times and it is worthwhile if you have never done it but once is enough. Good luck op with whatever route you choose it will be a great drive.

I am in a small car market and the local dealer was allocated one, called me and asked if I wanted it and I am paying a little more than $4,000 under MSRP. There is very little demand for a car like this in our area and I think they wanted to keep it local. I did tell him several months ago I was interested in getting one, but in reality I didn't think it would happen and at 67 I don't have the ambition to scour the country in search of one.

Living in San Diego is a whole different deal, so I doubt anything my situation is likely to come your way.

I like how the Market Adjust was $49,995. Why not just add $5 to it and make it an even $50,000?
