Has anyone had an aftermarket alarm installed in their Z yet? If so what did you go with? I was told there is no schematic for this installation yet.

Why? The Z06 comes with an alarm even if someone jacks up the car. Read too many horror stories of aftermarket alarms screwing up.

Not sure you why you would want an aftermarket alarm. The factory setup is just as good and the car can only be stolen if they have the FOB or flatbed the car. If an alarm goes off most people assume it is a false alarm and just want it to turn off.

I want a proximity sensor to chirp if people get next to the car. My last Z was keyed while visiting Vegas. Just some ahole cost me $1000 for no reason.

Proximity sensor may not prevent this from happening. It might even irritate/motivate the crazies that would be prone to key a car.
