Default Price increase?

Have talked with two dealers and they have told me to expect a $4000-4500 price increase on Z06 by late February. Any others heard this. Debating on buying a in stock verus ordering. Thanks

If there is a price increase ordered cars generally are not subject to it.

I guess GM can and may have a price increase, however I'm seeing over 400 Z's on Cars.com. There are so many that are ordered cars then there are many that are dealer stock.

I can see the price hike coming, just because it fits a pattern with GM, but it is not justified with the levels of production, and so many dealer stock cars available. Someone just ordered here on the forum with 2k discount going in.

I'm thinking the manuals will not get a price increase, but the autos may. I think the autos will be the hot thing on the market, while the manuals start collecting dust at dealerships.

There likely won't be a price increase at this rate. In fact, dealers are starting to give discounts on M7s already.

Even if there was a price increase coming, the dealerships you talked to would have no idea about it until it was public information. They have access to no inside information, they are just a dealer.

A dealer last year also told me Z51's would go up $7500 for 2015 models. Did that happen?

Yep... lots of unsold M7s out there right now, and more being produced and on their way to the dealers.

Slight discounts off MSRP are available if you look hard and are a serious buyer ready to go. By June/July, any M7 '15s on the lots will see thousands off MSRP as the '16s will be right around the corner.

A8s will not be discounted this year at least.

The real question should be- how long are you prepared to wait to find out.?

If the difficulty which I experienced finding a z06 allocation is the same everwhere, something tells me......yes an increase is on the way.......after all, I only phoned 26 dealerships looking for allocations.

I heard the price increase rumor three times during those calls.

This is a typical salesman's ploy to get you to buy now. From what was reported in the previous posts, how could they justify raising prices? I ordered my Z06 on 1/15 at $4,150 below MSRP.

is that fact or is that what you are guessing ? would you put your cash on that statement ? if the discount aren't there by June and July, would you put up the cash to cover the difference for a buyer that took your advise. It seem only fair. I predict that there won't be a price increase until next model year. every car produced in model year 15' will be sold this year. GM is taking order right now and building on those orders and most are automatics. Dealer have bought the stick on early allocations so they don't loose any allocations. It's January and the buying season hasn't even started yet in most of the country. you are looking at a car that have the capabilities of an million dollar car for 80 grand and you don't think it will sell ?

I spent 82,090.00. So I took my discount by getting less options.I hope they do raise the price!

I get the options thinking down the road if i sell it will be worth a little more and easier. Plus I get to use the options along the way.

MSRP $85,650

This is a small dealer who is probably only going to be allocated this one and demand for Vette's right now is weak:

Typical ploy from the dealer to get you to buy one now. Don't get suckered into it (I did on my last car purchase and the actual price was actually less when you figured all the options, MB changed their packages).
A $5K price boost would be a 6% increase. Sorry but I don't think it is happening.
You can already order Zs at a discount if you look hard enough.
Final thought: even if it is a few grand, it would be well worth waiting to get a 2016 to get the 1st year issues ironed out.

Good point, any idea on when the 2016 will start production? Also sounds like they will offer GMS pricing on those too? Just noticed that GM is charging a gas guzzler tax on the 7 speed now, they did not a week ago...
