Default My Z07 Build

If you guys know me from the other forums then know how I am with cars. My ctsv is brutal and have had a few other toys thru the years and so just like all my cars I do build threads. You will be seeing some nice street action (in mexico of course) Im just a normal car guy that does this all for fun.

I have about 5 weeks before my car gets here. 3LZ Z07 with A8 but I always start the mods before getting the car.

I deal with American Racing Headers a lot due to my CTSV site so just fitting to go with the 2" non catted set up (yes passes california smog fine lol)

Other mods coming
Intake
Lower Crank pulley
LT1Z E85 KIT
Tune by LT1Z
My custom 2.5 gallon underhood hx tank upgrade
335 30 18 hoosier
185 50 18 mh front
Forgeline 18x6 and 18x12.5

Shooting for 675 to 700 at wheels
1/4 mile time goal 9.999999999999999

oh my ctsv btw

its headers and x pipe to stock axle back so all that still works like oem. Ive set up 4 local guys that have z06s with the same combination no problems. got to give a shout to to steven at ARH for giving me a great deal on all the z06 headers ive been helping guys out with.

headers needs tune.
tune voids warranty.

drag radials void warranty
intake voids warranty because you need a tune

Lower the car and shock goes there goes warranty on the shock

If you need to ask if voids warranty 99 percent it does when my mods are involved.

i have a few grinds I have in mind. What im trying to do is get most power without opening motor up. E85/HEADERS/INTAKE/PULLEY/TUNE/MY 2.5 GALLON hx box I think 700 will be the goat. For those that want to open the motor up go for it but I really want to get the most power I can without opening engine up.

do with a drag radial that is closer to the stock tire diameter. the 345's are too tall for the best trap. the A8 is easier to launch so a smaller tire is OK, around 315/30/18.

you will need custom wheels to clear the large calipers, especially with the CCB's.

if you want to run at NHRA strips, keep it stock except for DOT drag radials or you will have to have a roll cage, which will ruin your expensive car for almost anything other than racing.

335 30 18 is what i have coming. Im not worried about NHRA tracks they are fine here 9.99 and slower. Most of what I do is on the streets of "mexico" anyway. the forgeline wheels clear the brakes of the z07 option package.

here is the wheel i got 18x6 and 18x12.5 but different finish. NO one has the finish im getting on these cars
