Default Wrecked Z06 @ Rick Hendricks Chevy Charleston, SC

Don't have any info but with all the rain we've been having and the lack of tread on a Z06s tires, I gotta think it played a role in the accident. Right rear tire is completely askew.

Second picture looks more like the front tire! Doesn't look good.

Looks like the driver lost it and slammed into a high curb or fire hydrant type structure. Could have been much worse though.

Maybe if the tire had some tread......oh wait, that's a new tire.

Wow! Looks like someone may have misjudged the wet traction of those cup tires and this poor animal has to suffer for it.

I would love to see a picture of the structural damage to the diff and rear control arms.

First thought after impact....that left a mark!

I have had to explain the outside slick part of these tires to many of my friends. They always comment on how I have already worn the tires out and how they dont last.

I put 25K on My C7 Z51 versions and had 4/32nds remaining.

My salesman there called me to let me know about this Z06. This happened a day or two after purchase (it could even had been the same day I can't remember exactly) and with less than 100 miles. The owner lost it in the rain at around 80mph and slammed the rear wheel into the curb. He was lucky not to flip it.

The cause? He had it in Track mode in the rain and with no experience behind the wheel of a Z06.

So they called me out of courtesy to tell me not to do that. I told them only an idiot would.

Track mode going 80 mph on Sport Cup 2's in the rain!
Well, to quote Ron White, "you can't fix stupid!"

Kesley Grammar (aka Frasier on cheers) flipped a gen1 or gen2 viper.
I recall him talking about it in a tonight show interview with Leno. These cars with their performance tires will bite dimwits in the a$$.
