35k on trade? -- What did your C7Z51 sticker at and what did you pay? It seems to me a fair depreciation would be 75 cents to $1 per mile times 6000 miles = 4 to 6k less than what you paid.
what you ultimately settle for all depends on how bad you want the z06. one suggestion is to sell yours outright and order or hold out for a 2016. ---- Chevy will have worked out the kinks with heat soak, performance, making the 1st year of the 7speed manual and a8 automaitic better.

My Z51 had 4,600 miles. I paid 72k new and I got 66k on trade in. I went back and forth several times with them to get that too. They stayed low until I got pre approved an I told them I'll sign today for this much or no deal. I wanted 68k, but came down to 66k. I bought a 2LZ with everything on it for 87k. I paid a little more probably for the Z06 than I should have but I wanted it bad and they worked with me on mine. Good luck!

Oh that's not bad then... so basically you're down 10k (thru depreciation and dealer's trade-in appraisal). When I traded-in my Z51 Conv (msrp was 72k), I was quoted 62k and of course the tax trade-in advantage also helped... my Z06 sticker was 81K but I got my Z51 via employee pricing (63k) and I also got a 1k GM rebate back in December. Good luck, you'll also like the Z...
His was a killer deal, congrats!

I'm on the fence because I know I will absolutely love the Z06 but I should enjoy the Stingray a little more before throwing that depreciation away... Tough call...

If I didn't get employee pricing on my Z51, I would have stronger reserves on trading-it in for the Z06 particularly due to dealers quoting wholesale values most of the time... after all they do have to resell via retail or dispose via auctions/Manheim.
