Default LS7 swap into C7 Z07

So Katech is putting an LT1 into their track attack c7 z06 package.

I am seriously interested in putting in a built LS7 into my C7 Z06 instead of this crap LT4. Does anyone know how feasible this is with the electronics in the car, such as the instrument cluster?

Some background,

I have a 715rwhp LPE 660 package & 442 Stroker LS7 in my c6 z06 & also have a currently stock 2015 z28 to go with my c7 z06 that is stock

Probably be easier to have Katech do you up a built LT1 since they already have that swap figured out. Give Jason a call, they may be able to do a build at a power level you'd be happy with.

To put an LS7 in the C7, the street-rod crate-engine electronics would be used. None of the C7 OEM electronics would work. But that's how a track car is built. All the OEM equipment is pulled out and the car is completely re-wired. For instance, the anti-lock brakes are replaced with a master cylinder that has a balance bar adjustment.

The AFM and NPP would no longer work. The rev-matching would no longer work. The electronic limited slip would no longer work. The air-bags would no longer work. The seats could be replaced with race seats. Nothing would throw a code unless related to the fuel injection and electronic ignition. The track car would use a mechanically adjustable limited-slip
.

yes true but i think this guy wants a road race engine…… Na engines are better for long runs in a road race. Thats why people are swapping the lt1 back in. The ls7 with mods is the bomb, big cubes rule.

I honestly believe the issues with the LT4 is emissions related.

For instance, my new duramax deisel runs 200-210 (which is way to hot for a deisel) & feels like it loses power pulling my racecar trailer up long steep inclines. Whereas my 2006 duramax would run 180 & would just dig going up long steep inclines pulling my racecar trailer. I think all newer vechicles are going to have the same challages because they want these engines running hotter to leave a smaller footprint. I could be wrong but that is my first thought without researching any of this. Imo the Z06 & the LT4 are badazz!!

Wonder what kind of power we would get with just removing the supercharger and running a ported LT1 intake. That way we could get the built lower end. Maybe add a cam in there as well.

Hummmm. Katech where you at? I would give up the supercharged power for the heat reduction and smooth power band of a natural aspirated engine.

The LT4 is a lower compression engine than the LT1

The Katech development is a 650 HP LT1 for the C7 Z06. We all know this is not street legal

Pull the supercharger and build the motor. There is already a 7.0 liter LT1 in a Z51 car. Get katech to build you an N/A 8.0 liter beast! Raise the deck height and go big.
