Hey guys. Trying to put together some fun at Zmax dragway on March 14th. Its apparently unadvertised but zmax re-paved the strip and wants to get new rubber down. Test and tune March 14th 9-3. I'm going to bring the Hellcat and my buddy is going to bring his Nismo GTR. Would love to get a new Z, a new Viper, and any other hi-power cars together.

Anyone local guys interested? Lets do this track right!!!

PS-Zmax is a four lane strip. Imagine Nismo, Hellcat, Z06, Viper all in one pass. The word that comes to mind....EPIC

Someone please do this. Z-max is a wonderful track. I've been a couple times to watch NHRA races. the 4 lanes together..that's an experience that just quite simply has to be felt to be believed.

1. People will say the Z06 is a road course car.
2. I'll take the Z06 before I take the Hellcat.
3. The Z06 driver can't drive.

4. It's a drag strip wonder.

Z06 wins:
1. All is well. There is New Year's Day type of celebration.

I would but that's a 700 mile trip each way for me... kinda far for 1 day of drag racing.

My car and the GTR are stock but I am going to put a set of nitto 555r's on the back. We dont get this opportunity very often so I want to make the most if it.

im out then. No way could I buy 2 sets of drag radials and tow 2 cars over only for a uneven match. Good luck sure someone will take you up on that offer.

Maybe just bring one of them and I'll try to recruit fir the other. All in fun but fair is fair and I agree drag radials would be best for best possible matchup. I'm going with the DR's to try to even it up against the GTR.

Actually the only reason they are doing it is because they re-did the track and want fresh rubber down before their IHRA event going on in April. That's why this is so unique.

Why Drag Radials? How about a stock car, no mods, street tires, Zo6 vs Hellcat at Zmax just like in road and track and car and driver. A pure race with no advantages?

I ordered my car with the all season tires instead of paying the extra money for the stickier summer tires. My head at the time was that I'm going to use the money I saved to put better tires on it. If I had bought the summer tires instead I'd probably be ok with that. Zmax is our only 1/4 mile strip out here and sadly they don't give public access to the track very often at all. That being said this will likely be the only time this year they open up the track to us general public people.

More importantly is while I am a fan of all cars ( as you can see I've been on this board for over 10 years with 7 Corvette's in my past) I'm hoping to put an end to the GTR's bragging rights. Not going to happen with non DR's. Even with DR's it is going to have to be a hell of a run but I fully believe it is doable. Plus DR's are easy enough for any of us to get on the car to even up the odds in the traction department without modifying the major drivetrain. The only thing that would be better than watching the mighty Godzilla fall would be to watch it fall to a couple cars. The Z has the potential to do it too so get on board guys! If we both have DR's then we are evened up again. No advantage to anyone. All motor at that point.
