I thought I would post pics of my custom painted stinger stripe... I really liked the add but just didn't like the idea of having a sticker on a $100k+ car.

It's custom painted with GM Paint code for Carbon Flash. I think it turned out perfect....Very smooth, you cant even feel the transition with your bare hand.

When I had mine painted, decided it needed to actually go around/enclose the hood vent.

My painter actually suggested that!! I decide to keep it as close to the stinger stipe as possible incase future owner liked that look.

It did turn out nice on yours! almost miss it in the pic.

They both look beautiful! I left it off mine for the same reason. Could you share a ballpark cost for the painting?

$506 - Out the door. (same cost as the sticker) And they gave me about a pint of paint for touch up!!

they all look nice but when I hear "stinger" that's not what comes to mind.

Not sure of the reason to use tape or paint but I have thought that tape does not have infinite life especially in sunlight/ If I clearcoat over paint versus clearcoat over tape I would think I have a better product for the long term. I will put a blue stinger stripe on this to match the interior.
