Just got the April CAR & DRIVER in the mail
Just a quick skim through so far and they love the car.....Picked it over the Porsche turbo S and the GTR Nismo

I read that latest issue last night at Barnes.... C&D's 1/4 on the M7 was dismal... 11.5 sec... traction was a factor. The Z06 won overall due to the bang for the buck (aka value) factor.... and the best complete package, performance & features. The NISMO seemed like a one-hit wonder per C&D while the TurboS requires another mortgage-like note just to get one into the garage.

No lap times Just say that if this was an all rear wheel drive comparison the Vette would have won everything hands down...the only way to improve now is to go AWD too

I will also say to GM please send the quicker A8 for this comparisons against cars with DCT.

To those asking for links, the issue just arrived so it likely won't be online.
The way Car and Driver gushed about it, you would think the Vette ran away with first place.
It did win over the other two because of price, that's where it got most of its points advantage. The best thing is there were no "buts" as with previous Corvettes.
"It has to go mid-engine to get better"

Z06 was the slowest to 150 by over 2 seconds. The handling was superior, but the acceleration isn't consistent with 650/650 power. I do wish I had one in the garage though.

Z06 17.9. 911 TurboS was 14.9
Z06 stopped fastest, 1.15g on road holding and quickest in slalom. I was surprised they said the 911 rode better (I think it is stiffer and the Vette rides better) and the 911 was quieter.
No road course test.

3 seconds slower 0 to 150 compared to the P Turbo S? I Thought someone posted side by side time slips qtr mile and 0 to around 130 the Z06 was like 0.2 faster? so does the Z06 really fall on it's face after around 130? Maybe I am also confused with another car? I have been looking at so many cars and forums I am getting crossed eyes. lol. I am real close to buying a new ride about 90% sure going with a Z06 Auto trans.

Almost one second difference (11.5 vs. 10.6 for 911) in 1/4 mile.

They say in the article that they did not go to a road course, but the vast majority of the pictures in the article look to be from either Streets of Willow or Horse Thief Mile at Willow Springs. So they definitely did track the cars. Perhaps one of the manufacturers didn't like their lap time and paid C&D off to not publish it Just seems fishy to conduct a test with these three "track" cars (they tried to get a 991 GT3 but couldn't, so settled for the 991 TTS) and not publish lap times.

Wish they had track results:
