Where to track the Z in Northern New Jersey or Southern New York State
Hopefully the weather in the Northeast will get warm this year!
Do you folks know of any places to track your cars within an hour or so of Bergen County, New Jersey?
Not this week, however!
Thanks.

NJMP is great.
Watkins Glen if you can get there before they repave it this summer.
Pocono has been repaved and is much improved. North course is simple 5 turns including the banked bowl. IMSA course is an opportunity for max speed. The south east course is a lot of fun, but might be too technical for the Z. It was a blast in my '98 M3, more like an auto-cross.

The Schattenbaum chapter of the Porsche Club of America also runs really well organized days at NJMP and has excellent instruction if you're new to the track or to track days in general. Really nice, professional group of enthusiasts who could care less what marque your car is. I ran with them for years.
Schedule and info here.
The Autocrossing and Roadracing subforum here is also a great source for info. In my experience you'll typically get much better info there than in the model-specific forums.
