Only question is that those instructions are for stingray w/ dry sump which should be same deal for the Z, but the specified oil capacity on those instructions is not the same as what others have posted about the Z which is 11 qts I believe but feel free to correct me.

Look at owners manual page 10-16 for change instructions and 12-2 for capacities. 9.8 qt for both dry sump engines, LT4 and Z51 LT1.

9.8 qts it is, thanks. I'm still waiting on my car and manual to arrive. I guess I was thinking of the C6 Z capacity of 10.5.

I don't know about others but this is what I did. I change my own Oil. Pull both plugs and let drain until no oil dribbles out. This took a good 30 minutes. I added 9 quarts of oil including what I put in filter before installing it. I drove the car until oil temp was up to normal, shut it down and waited between 5 and 10 min. to check oil. It took another one half quart of oil to bring it up between the full and add marks. This is the best level to run it at i have been told. If I put any more than 9.5 qts It will overfill it. Good luck

There is a stickie section at the top of the C7 General Discussion sub-forum. One of the posts includes links to all kinds of C7 info, including Owners and Infotainment manuals for both '14 and '15.
