Standing mile time / flares chipped.
At Texas mile this weekend with my A8. My best speed has been. 174.8. Pdr showed 177. Will post pdr when I get back in town. Flares on back pretty dinged up. I should have taped up or had expel already on. Be forewarned. Hoping some chips can be buffed out. Car is pretty stout.

Is yours a stage 1? Hoping the side rails like the stage 2
and mudflaps protect the
rear flares

Great info too. And yes, my flares have chips with 700 miles on the odometer. I intentionally took the back highways home (400 miles, adding 2.5 hours and 70 miles vs straight back) to avoid chips on the hood and windshield from other cars, didn't realize I'd have to worry about my own car.....

Very impressive mile!
Seems at slower speeds (under 40) the mirrors, doors and rockers take a beating. At higher speeds the rear fenders are victim. I've never had a car throw so much debris along the side. I had the entire front end covered with Xpel in the first 50 miles and almost immediately realized the remainder of the car would appreciate it as well and it sits at the installers shop now with 198 miles and thankfully no chips yet. Stage 2 car.

OP - nice runs. Sorry to hear about the paint chips; hope those are easy to fix.
As a multi-year miler, I love that event. Great time.

I have the Stage 1 and installed the front and rear C7 splash guards on the showroom floor, than drove over a 100 miles to get it home on the interstate. No chips.
Then I installed stage 2/3 clones of the factory side skirts which I painted carbon flash and now after 600+ miles still no chips.
On a side note due to my steep driveway entrance I had to remove the stage 1 front splitter so it would not scrape and after looking at it for awhile now, I LIKE IT! The "side skirts" I think make the car look better and removing the stage 1 splitter actually cleans the front up and overall in my opinion makes the whole car look a little cleaner & meaner. I will post pics and you decide.

No worries, Jim. Although yours is not your average C4.
Stock C6 ZRs usually run 178 - 182. Mine went 180+. I don't think the new Z will consistently run that high. Recently got my ZR back from Lingenfelter - whoa nelly. My new Z is stout, but not that stout.
We need to go play some in our LPE rigs.

I've been waiting on back order tires for 6 months........
Now they just put the GForce Rival S in front of the GForce Rival due to SCCA sanctioning......so wait some more.....
I haven't been able to to feel the power in way too long..just goes up in instant smoke on my old hard pilots.
But yes you need to get me some rides in those beasts.
