Default Let's settle this...who will loan Kyle or Fartpipe a ZR1 to race NastyZ07 at ATCO?

Hey, we're all big boys and we finally have gotten ride of all of the Viper and Hellcat Trolls badmouthing the C7Z and unfortunately the in-fighting has turned internally to the Corvette Brethren and it's getting ugly. Not taking anything away from Fartpipe's or Kyle Lemish's incredible ZR1 Hero runs but we all know that no one can use these for comparative purposes yet we have plenty of people trying to.

Who will do the Community a service and set-up a same day friendly drag race at ATCO or MIR between a ZR1 and the new C7Z? We need to have runs made with drag radials and runs made with PS2's. I know that Kyle already has a C7Z M7 so we'll have both C7Z tran configurations represented!

I believe that Kyle still currently owns a ZR1, if he hasn't sold it yet. He has said that he is pretty sure that he is not going to touch his ZR1 record with his M7 Z06. The A8, that will be another question.

PS2s? or do you mean Sport Cups 2s?

JMB I'm just curious what makes you think the 10.38 run by the Z wasn't a hero run?

Default Outstanding Idea!?

We will be able to see that new flatter looking superior take off, and use good old fashion competition (testosterone and adrenaline) to really peak the performances!

Thanks for the common sense!

Bacause I backed it up with multiple 10.4X passes, as I mentioned in the other thread, after the 2nd pass (around 1pm) we lost the good weather. I'm in btw...

Who is going to do the tear down to confirm stock, it's not hard to hide some mods. Kind of like A-Rod although he got caught no one will ever know how much his success was related to cheating.

Not one bit, do you actually think people won't do something to try and get an advantage? Hell they cheat in all motorsports and professional sports so why would anyone trust a perfect stranger at a drag strip? And this by no means is directed at any one person but in truth how would anyone know if a car is altered? I played competitive softball for years and you would laugh if you saw what guys did to cover up their illegal bats.

And Fart Pipe didn't? He ran a 10.34 on his only other pass the same day and a 10.42 on a previous day in much different conditions. I just don't see how your runs are anymore valid than his at this point. Don't get me wrong, I expect you will see some improvement in your times.

I never even mentioned fartpipe, I was replying to the guy who was saying the 10.38 was a hero run... I'm sure if you put fartpipe in the same weather he can do it again. I never said he couldnt so what are you trying to start?

The orginal post called Fartpipe's and Kyle's run "hero" runs. I think the question was if their runs were "hero" runs then why was yours different. Not trying to start anything. I think a valid answer is that you have only had one track day so far, but people have this misconception that fatrpipe spent years getting that time when the reality is that he did it less than 10 passes.

It was sort of a 'hero run', maybe.
But with nearly a full tank of fuel, only 37 miles on it and the (good, but not perfect) air that he ran in, that car IS NOT done yet either. Even with stock wheels/tires up front, BigNasty can improve upon that 10.38 if he keeps at it.

I personally think that stock C6 ZR1s and stock C7 Z06 automatics run VERY close 1/4 mile times.

Since we are talking about a stock ZR1, shouldn't be a problem finding him one to drive.

Think you missed my point on my answer to buddy who was insinuating the Z06 might of been modified.
