Wife wants an in-ground pool and built in fire pit and grill. I want a convertible Z06. What would you guys do?

Good looking wife in a bikini, or riding around by yourself in a corvette? I'd take the wife..

I'm sure glad my wife doesn't want a damn pool.

She's an indoor wife.

Compromise and buy a Mclaren instead?

I had a pool once.

In PHX, It was nice, as you could use it, unheated, for perhaps 5-6 months out of the year.

They can be a maintenance nightmare, especially if you live in a cold climate. You gotta drain it every winter, the chemicals, the cleaning, the ducks that land it it and crap and then you have major algae problem, blah, blah, blah. The only thing worse is probably a boat.

It was handy when i was single, as it was easy to get girls undressed, or rather, they would undress them selves for a late night dip in the water.

I would never get another pool, if that helps any.

Build the fire pit and grill only and buy the car.

We do have a Hellcat Challenger and a 68 Camaro, so we aren't without a car. I really want a convertible to add to our fleet.

Funny you should post this. My dealer just got in a Z06....but our inground pool was just put in 3 days ago. So much for the Z06 for me for a little while. Gotta keep the wife happy, they deserve it.

Pool in Wheaton = 60-70% loss in value immediately. Z06 = 10% loss in value immediately.

I had pools when I was living in Florida. I wouldn't own a pool again (even in Florida).

To Tough choice, buy a Z06 or get a pool and outdoor kitchen.

I had to buy the wife a new Outback and a kitchen so my Z cost me $185k but it's worth it. Good luck!
