Latest track report with Data
Just returned from Mid Ohio open lapping session. Was VERY lucky in that I got very little rain on the way up from SW Ohio and arrived before the downpour began. Also lucky in that the rain stopped just as we were about to take the track. This gave us the opportunity to practice the rain line (which I needed) and also practice the dry line as it dried during the session. (Also needed practice with that.)
Here are the stats:
100% stock Z07 M7
1600 miles
Shell 93 Octane
All track prep done as close to specs in manual as possible, Level 3 aero installed
Outside air temp 77* Humidity 90-100%
3 sessions, each 20 minutes
PTM: "WET" (for multiple reasons)
PDR: pending editing and missed hitting the "Mark Finish Line" so no overlay, sorry, my bad.
NO CEL's, no heat warnings at all
Important disclaimer: I am intermediate skill level at best AND the track started out wet. Suffice it to say this session was not a hard running one by most measures. But, FWIW, here is the data:

Awesome photo. Nice looking car! Glad you didn't have any issues.
I hope the overheating issues don't deter people from tracking their cars. It takes more than a few track days (and a lot of fun!) to build up to the point where you can push the car enough to overheat it.
We need a cooling solution from GM for sure, but I cringe a bit when people who rarely or never go to the track say they will avoid the Z06 due to overheat issues.
