C7 Z06 meets earlier model...
I was meeting an old friend at a restaurant in Livonia, MI recently and found an open parking spot...
BTW, drove 'the Beast" from Atlanta to the Detroit area and back (approx. 12 hours each way), no issues other than me needing to stretch my legs on occasion and my knees hurting a bit from being in the same position for so long (bad knees from football)...

IMO c6z still looks just as good..outdated? Far from it, the only thing that C7Z makes up for modern cars in this picture are the headlights and the hood..other than that look at it. Both cars have wide fenders front and back, and the C6z actually has a lower roof line (unless its lowered). C7z seems to have a slightly bigger widnshield, which means better visability and a slightly bigger opening in the fron bumper.
Either way both great cars, i usually like to do the same and park next to a corvette fellow when i see one in the parking lot.

The C6 definitely looks old next to the C7. I always like the C5 (C5Z specifically) look better than the C6 but was always jealous of the exposed headlights....now I kind of prefer the flip lights of the C5 instead but really like the C7 looks overall.
Don't get me wrong, the C6Z is awesome and I would love to have one if I had another garage space!

I had my C6 Z06 for 5 yrs and loved every second of it, but the new C7 vettes look light years better and more modern. The C6 has not aged well, unfortunately.

Opinions vary IMO the C7 looks a thrown together coorperate car, without any thought, it why I did not buy one, I did wait and even see if the car would grow on me.... It didn't , it's actually the only corvette I can actually say that I do not like.
This is the only place on any forum where I see people who own a newer corvette rip on an older model , you will never see a gen 5 viper owner say that the gen 1 looks dated it's sad , especially since the C7Z performance wise is not the better car, and it is inferior in performance to the C6ZR1.
And yes I have family access to a 15Z anytime I want, owned both C6 variants.

I have to admidt as far as look my favorite vette was the C5Z, it weighed in at 2920 lbs, when I did the full cartek heads/ cam every Bolt-on , that car was deadly fast.

Both cars are awesome. They're just different. It's hard not to like the big displacement 7.0. It's a complete beast. Anyone who has driven one has to agree. The new Z06 is absolutely amazing as well. Let's face it, 650 HP is off the chain. They're completely different cars and both owners have something very special.

This is the "only place on any forum where <you> see people who own a newer corvette rip on an older model", but all you do is come in here to trash the C7 Z06. This post is a perfect example. It's not surprising that you don't recognize your own hypocrisy.
You should go back to "Other Cars" and continue your anti-C7 Z06 circle jerk, Trainerdave.

new viper owners don't "rip" older vipers because older vipers look better than the new ones. the new ones look like chit!
and taking an opinion about how a car model looks personally is a great indication of low self esteem. You are not your car. You are not your fkn khakis, lol.

Ripping other Corvettes is just stroking your own ego. They're all amazing cars. If you think the one you're driving is the best, you're doing it right. Congratulations, but no need to rain on someone else's parade.

I think they both look great (overall). I saw a centennial edition C6 ZO6 today on the street and the last thing that came to my mind was "out dated." I even liked the interior. The interiors in the 2012-2013 are much better than the previous C6s. The C6Z looked good then, it looks good now, and it will look good in the future.
Now, are there aspects of the C7 that I like better? Yes. However, there are aspects of the C6Z/ZR1 that I also like better than the C7. I prefer the stance of the C6 because it has a lower profile out front and in the rear (lower hips). Overall, I like the front of the C7 better with its more defined lines and sharpness. C6 front is nice too, but the C7 has it beat there in my opinion. However, to this day, I still do not like the lower half of the C7 rear bumper.
Another aspect of the C7 that I think needs to change is how the rear-end comes to an end. For example, if you remove the rear spoiler from the C7, it looks really bad...really bad. The rear cannot stand alone without a spoiler. The same is not true for the C6.

I like 'em both.
But I have a soft spot for Corvettes. I bet I could find a variant of each generation that I would enjoy having.

Funny how no pics of the rear side by side, the C7 rear is a joke of a design.
