Default GM's trouble in Aussie, trademark for Zora resurrects once again!

Found this a while ago. I know Mid Engine rumors are dime a dozen. Might as well add to the pot. Interesting read nonetheless.

OH yeah, the GM crossed flags sure looks a lot like the Red Cross logo. Really, who needs eye surgery?

"The issue with the Corvette trademark stems from protection that the Australian Red Cross symbol has enjoyed since the Geneva Conventions Act in 1957. As the Chevrolet crossed-flags logo contains a checkered flag on the left side and a red flag with the Chevrolet bowtie and the fleur-de-lis on the right, its application for trademark protection has been rejected four times as officials say the Chevy bowtie looks too much like the Red Cross symbol. "

That's just stupid. Plain and simple.

Default The real story

The real story. My uncle flew helicopters in Vietnam for a real bad *** group known as headhunters. Anyway One of his co-pilots now works for GM. He works on the corvette development team. According to him the delay was due to golf clubs. Originally the vette was supposed to carry one Rodney Dangerfield bag and one regular bag. They had to settle for two regulars. Total failure.
