Default C7 ZO6 Automatic shifting drag race

Used to launch my 2008 automatic in S mode and the tranny did all of the shifting during drag race, I did not use paddle shifters. The automatic C7 Z06 has M mode instead. If i launch in M mode d
oes anyone know if it will shift itself at a certain RPM the same way or self destroy or limp?

It will ride the rev limiter until you Manually shift it.

In M mode only the + paddle will initiate an upshift. So you will just bounce off the rev limiter..I guess in your terms that would be limp.

Edit: Ed3 beat me to it...

So like the manual hitting the rev limiter! Good to know, other cars I've driven with paddles still do an up shift. That makes it more appealing to me. Seems much more engaging.
