Default Need Help - Z07 Wickerbill Removal - Screw

I removed my Z07 Wickerbill and the screws that attach the wickerbill are too long so now I have 4 holes where the wickerbill use to be. I went to my local dealer to purchase 4 of the shorter screws that hold on the level two spoiler, but they are NOT an 'orderable' part as of now according to the GM system.

They gave me the below diagram. I need the #3 screws as the #6 screws are too long. Any ideas on how I can obtain these screws?

I need the circled screw!

Wow, the wicker bill is designed to go on and of for road and track use, and it comes from the factory with four short screws (for when off) and four long ones (for when on). If the dealer didn't save the short screws in the rear cubby for you, then it seems to me that he owes them to you. Someone will chime in with an aftermarket screw for you, but you really shouldn't have to bear the brunt of a dealer's mistake.

Try a msg to Jim Hall (Halltech). He was selling these, don't know if he still has them.

Are they the same ones? How did he get them?

I did the same thing and had the same issue. It's much nicer being able to see out the back. Make sure to get 10 screws. His kit has a little less. You need all of them because his aren't an exact match....but look much better. I think his kit has 4. I ordered 2 kits and he was nice enough to throw in 2 for free. Great guy.

Best,
Gene

I just sent him a message via his website. I did not see the screws on his site for purchase. How did you order them?

Hmmm. They were on his website. If he's out of them I'm sure he can tell you where to get them. They look great.

Gene

Maybe I'm messing something here, but if you removed the screws, how are they to long now to put it back together the way it was originally together?

I installed the stage 3 spoiler on my stage one... The longer screws are for the wickerbell.. Did you reinstall the rubber garments?

I mean it seems simple. If you took it apart, then you know the screws fit.. Seems like you got something messed up.

Negative. The longer ones stick out a quarter inch because the wicker bill is no longer there. They, unfortunately, don't just screw further in to account for the difference.

Ok I understand now. The OP was removing the wickerbell completely. Not reinstalling the wickerbell. Then yes, the screws would be to long. Misunderstanding.

Glad I saved my screws then. Didn't even think about this.
