I like velocity yellow much better. Velocity yellow looks richer, darker, and IMO, more appropriate for a serious sports car.
This new yellow is too light. This is a yellow you see on eco-box hatchbacks.

2015 v yello vs new race yellow
Glad i bought the 2015 zo6 v yellow. I would of not bought the new race yellow. Seen both at road America today .v yellow look nicer on the c7 then the new yellow in my book . One year zo6 with v yellow verry happy here. I seen both of the cars next to each other. Just my tast . New race yellow is a lighter yellow. Not as bright of a color and as mean looking.

Suc*s that I ordered my Z early this year and production been delayed by GM 'Europe' till July... should have been VY but I am now going to get it in ugly Racing Yellow...
Delivery still postponed Month after Month... should have got it in June and I am still waiting...
Not to sure what to think about GM Europe team... when you talk to them, they don't even know much about the cars they are selling and not interested at all... too sad! Come on GM, You need passion to sale that type of car!

Burning Brakes
I saw the new Corvette Racing Yellow on a car at Stingray Chevrolet yesterday. It looks kind of washed out compared to Velocity Yellow.
I'm not a yellow fan but I like last years yellow a lot better.

As stated and I fully agree VY is far superior. Much richer, more Supercar looking.

I seen both (I have a 2016 Yellow on order) on a showroom here in the Houston area. A 2015 Z06 as well as a 2016 Z06. Could hardly tell them apart with equal lighting. Even in the picture above, both cars have different light on them. The new yellow as well as Velocity yellow are strongly dependent on the light as to how they actually look. At the end of the day, you really can't hardly tell the difference.

Velocity Yellow was definitely a better color than the new Racing Yellow IMO. I would have actually considered a yellow Z06 if VY were still an option, but this definitely pushes me back to the Torch Red camp.
