OEM Pilot Super Sport tires 60 ft. time. (8/28/15 correct date)
Just reporting on the PSS tire 60 ft. capabilities.
Made a pass at the local dragstrip test & tune with the tires aired up to 30 psi "cold setting". Did the burnout and pass in "Sport mode" with just the traction control turned "off".
I could of launch harder but because I spun on the dry hop I backed the car down some for the launch which was a "mistake" because I think the car would have stuck and put down a "better" 60 ft.. Also the lane prep could of been better.
I feel that the 60 fts. will be coming down "further" on the OEM street tires very soon!

Hell NO!
About the second day that I had the car I removed the "Stage 1" front splitter! (because it hit on my driveway entrance) and then I added "The Ultra High Performance" aftermarket "Stage 2" side skirts to turbo those small stones away from the car body!
Bottom line: between one thing off and two things on the net result is the car gained weight.
I had said in a previous post that when I get something "worth" posting I would post it with full details.
I posted this to let forum members know that the OEM street tires are capable of putting down respectable 60 ft. times, so maybe they all won't be rushing out to "buy" drag radials/wheels right away.
PS: I have a set of drag radials on chrome Grand Sport wheels left over from my 2010 GS. I will "not" be trying/using them until I find the limits on the PSS tires.

Yes there are other mods! but this is the last one that I'm giving up until I post something "WORTHY".
I installed an OEM replacement "HIGH FLOW" air filter in the "factory" air intake. OK, I'll let this one go too, low dusting carbon ceramic brake pads all the way around (sweet).

A8 or M7? I'm guessing a A8.

That's an excellent short time--and reflects what's capable w/ excellent track prep. Anything w/ a 1.5x on true street tires, on a RWD stock car--is fantastic.
Unfortunately, all tracks are not prepped equally & that short time is an exception rather than the norm.
Nice job!

The very first time to the track and on the second pass ever with this car I put down a 1.61 60 ft. Both tracks I have taken this car to were test & tune events, not the best prep is usually done for test & tune. All I can say is "Trust Me" I know when a track is well prepped. Example: If you walk on a well prepped track it feels like it wants to pull your shoes off. I think most can tell this is not my first Rodeo; I think a 1.59 60ft. on the PSS tires is a record for the tire at the "moment" on the forum.
Thanks for the "Nice job!".

Those MD tracks rock...
The best short time for my 560whp GT-R was 1.63 on sticky streeties down here--while giving it a go @ 2 FL tracks.
I think your 1.59 would be a miracle if it happened down here on these tracks ;-)

PS: I think 560whp is approx. what the Z06 A8 puts out from some of the dyno results that I have seen here although I have seen one that has it down to approx. 500whp "after" the car gets up to operating temps and that dyno is located in FL.

Impressive results for rwd on a street tire for sure, msrc definitely works well at transferring weight at the dragstrip. Congrats, looking forward to faster times!

"Carbon Ceramic Brakes", their over a 20 lb. "rotating" weight reduction which should be good for 2 plus tenths reduction in the 1/4 mile et, if you go by what some experts say.
Also when it starts to cool down again like it was some months ago "watch out" everyone is going to be flying.
Tip: If your looking for the very best performance don't go down the track with the supercharger "heated up" like I did. A cold/cooled down supercharger will make more power, the supercharger cooling fluid maybe cooler too from sitting.
EDIT: Rotating weight; with my GS I switched to borrowed lighter rear wheels and tires from one pass to the next at the track and picked up over a tenth & two mph running the "very same" 60 ft. time.
