Received my service paperwork after purchasing my 2016 Z06. After reading all the questions about this matter on the forum, I find this on my paperwork. I don't even have 200 miles yet but, I'm working on it.

We got the same thing today ours only has 300 miles. Will change it our selves at 500 dont trust dealers to do anything.

Just be careful that without the stamp on the maintenance book you may void the warranty in oil was not replaced per schedule in case of powertrain issue...

I have had great luck with my dealer changing the oil. They knew to use Mobile 1 said that is what GM tells them to use on them. Oil filled properly and everything was clean. I think some people need to maybe find a new dealer that have these issues.

Had my 500 mile oil change done yesterday. Confirmed they were using Mobil One and I asked them to try and put 9.3 quarts in, instead of 9.8. Took the car home and checked the oil level. It showed a level exactly in the middle of the dipstick hash area. Just what I wanted and should minimize oil getting back into the air intake.
