Default Feb 6th Delivery post/ Barn finds/old ads/throwback pics*Mike@Criswell

~This week went fast and the Corvettes were moving out even faster. Below are some pictures and stories of just a few. I have a great time with each and every delivery but it's always cool when it's that long awaited First Corvette for the customer. You can follow all my deliveries on Video at CorvetteFurman on Facebook.

~Paul A. from Gainesville, VA called me 8 weeks ago to factory order his very first Corvette. I helped Paul with the proper specs and as you can see, he was thrilled with the final results. 2016 Z06 Cpe in Arctic White, Black Stinger, Z07 pkg and 7 spd was just what he wanted. His son Sam attended as well Paul's historic first Vette delivery.

~Mike and Lisa C from Boca Raton, FL Factory ordered a Callaway prepared Spice Red Pkg 2016 Z06. This is their 2nd Callaway Corvette they have bought from me and this time they clicked every option box possible. A mere 757 HP! Last week they took Corvette Museum delivery and drove it home to Florida. Just open the hood and instant car show with their new Corvette.

~Alan B from Columbia, MD has been watching my Corvette dedicated website and found in our inventory this 2016 Stingray Z51 3LT in Race Yellow fully loaded. So we made the deal over the phone and he and his wife took delivery Friday. This Corvette is sharp!! This is their 3rd Corvette!

~Robert T of Juno Beach, FL called me up 8 weeks ago and Factory Ordered this 2016 Z51 Convt in Long Beach Red with Black top, Black Brushed Alum wheels, Black Badge pkg and Kalahari interior. Great Color combo as it is a must see!

~Barry J and his wife Tamra drove up this past week from Fredericksburg, VA and said "I want to trade in my Camaro SS and get a new Corvette today." So we walked our 110 new Corvette inventory...and he chose 3-4...so we narrowed it down and he drove away in a 2016 Stingray Z51 in Daytona Sunrise Orange with Black wheels and Black Badge pkg. They were very very happy.

~Forest B. of Jacksonville, Oregon was at a car show in Oregon last week and met a Forum friend of mine and told him he was having a hard time buying a new Corvette. He passed my name and number on and at first Forest was going to factory order and do a Museum delivery...then he spotted a Daytona Sunrise Orange Stingray and he decided to choose one that I had in my inventory. We did the paperwork via Fed Ex and this week Plycon Trucking will be shipping his new Corvette right to his driveway.

~Mr Moore from West Virginia drove 3 hours to Criswell for his 2nd Oil change and I gave him the Spring Mountain Race Track info...next thing I know he is all signed up to attend the Corvette school mid March.

~Throwback pics/ old Corvette ads and Barn finds.....

~Have a great day and don't forget the Corvette wave. Call my desk direct phone to discuss your next Corvette...I am now in my 38th year of pure fun selling Corvettes!

Do you like the old ads or old Corvette pics better?

Tough call as they are all special...but the old dealership, car show, and drive in pics are quite nostalgic. I don't know where you get all these gems.

Years ago, long before we had the internet, I remember reading a print magazine that pictured Farrah Fawcetts 70's C3. I could swear it had a 454 ci....But I don't recall the year of her Vette, nor the years GM offered a 454 in a C3.

What do you have in your Farrah files Mike?

Like this C3 that George Barris created for FF?

Just sold last week at BJ Auction for approx $50K...I was going to post these pics next week.

Not that the new ones aren't cool but I love it when you post the vintage shots! My first car (age 16) was a '60 Vette with a 327 that had the Duntov 30-30 cam and I've been hooked ever since. Thanks for taking the time.

Thanks for the great pictures Mike. Love the old stuff! I did not realize it took so long to put it together. It is greatly appreciated!

Research, find pics, download pics from my computer, phone and camera...then put them in photobucket...write each story and each picture from photobucket gets put into story one at a time. Its a labor of love.

Glad that Lisa and Mike made it home unscathed to Boca from Bowling Green. The weather on those travel days for them was brutal back East.

Decided to skip our local Cars and Coffee this week and stay home, relax...... And enjoy the weekly Furman and Corvettes on C.F.
