Just stopped in last week at alan samuels now autonation in Waco TX to have my oil changed after my 500 mile break in period. I got a call today and was asked to come pay my bill because my car is not covered under any kind of warranty. It is a 3LZ bought brand new and says it is right on the window sticker.

any ideas of WHY this dealership is demanding me to pay?

The 500 mile oil change plus two more oil changes are covered by the GM warranty. The oil to be used is Mobil 1 5W30

Call them, and tell them to learn how to do their job. I'd call the hot line, and make a formal complaint.

For warranty service you need to go to a GM dealer.
And that applies to the oil/filter change.
Autonation? GM dealer?

According to a web search there is an Alan Samuels Chevrolet in Waco, but Autonation may have bought it. They own dealerships of various brands where I live.

If thats the case i will raise hell. They announced they just sold their first car as autonation while i was there over the loudspeaker. But they had all alan samuels everything everywhere.

Manager just called me from the dealership and said there is no such plan on z06's.....
Is someone on here playing a joke on me?!

The `16 Z06 gets free 500 mile change and two more oil/filter changes.
Let me guess...they didn't use Mobil One?

I had a long day and messing with my car is like messing with my kids so I went off on them on the phone. Just read this doc and emailed it to them and apologized for my behavior on the phone.

AutoNation is one of the largest chains in the US. I bought my 2016 Z06 at one of their dealerships and took it for the 500 miles oil change at another of their dealerships and they knew nothing about the 500 mile change. Kept telling me it didn't need an oil change since it only had 500 miles. Finally another service writer heard me talking and said he heard about it. So they finally agreed. Had to assure they knew about the Mobil One needed. They had to go out to get it.

Now can dealers still be so stupid?! I have a 2016 Z06 at its 500 mile oil change they said the same "you only 2 free ones" crap. Shortly after I got the official card from GM that clearly says we get 3 free ones...........this has been well discussed on the Forum.

OP, as others have said, check your work order for the oil used. The Complete Care program reimburses the dealer for Mobil 1 use.

What card did you get from GM saying that just took delivery of my Z06 and they claim 2. Can you post it please. I've heard everyone claim 3 but you re only one with proof. Others are just saying so.
