Wow, that looks really bad. Hopefully we can find out what happened. It looks like the Roof Halo is completely ripped off but the A-frame is intact.

Sometimes when a supercar crashes, there are hopes for the machine to get the required servicing attention and return to the road. This, however, isn't one of those cases.
Alas, all hope is lost for this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R, with the vehicle having been involved in a brutal crash in Texas.
The details of the accident are scarce, but we can tell you the special 'Vette was totaled in Katy, TX. It appears the Chevy had left the dealer lot hours before the accident and was on its way to having its windows tinted.
Well, as you'll be able to see in the footage below, not only did the Z06 fail to get protected against the Texas sun but the accident the supercar was involved in makes it look like it fell inside the shredder.
Any Corvette crash is painful, but when you think the world now has one Z06 C7.R, things are even more cringe-worthy. As those of you following the 'Vette world know, General Motors is only gifting the world with 650 units of this special edition, 500 of which are destined for US driveways.
That means one less American driver will get to enjoy the charms of the C7.R endurance racer-inspired machine.
Since the LT4 under the hood of the "standard" Z06 already delivers a meaty 650 hp and 650 lb-ft, the tech changes offered by this special edition target the rest of the car. Goodies such as the Z07 Performance Package and carbon-ceramic brakes are included on the menu.
Even in this terrible state, you can still recognize the Z06 C7.R thanks to visual treats such as the signature yellow livery we've all seen on Corvette Racing Machines.
Our favorite bits include the exposed carbon aero package, as well as the yellow accent black wheels. And here we are, thinking about the spare parts that can be saved like cold-blooded disassemblers.

"This one had been purchased by a customer in the morning, and was having the windows tinted before picking it up later in the day. I assume the owner wasn't too happy when he came to pick it up that evening."

Burning Brakes
Well it is not any different than a regular Z06 C7 from a performance perspective. Just more bling. Still a shame..

It got dumped off at Grand Parkway Auto Sales in Katy, Texas. Anyone want to call and get the story? (281) 693-2706

So, dealership employee was driving car to have windows tinted! NO F***ING WAY would I have ever agreed to have the dealership driving my car. Looks like (if true) owner will be getting another C7.R courtesy of the dealership.

More Info from Eyewitness
Check out this video:
You can see that's where the Vette slid off the road, over the grass, and then the F150 broke its fall.

Literally watch this fool lose control and flipping it..
Yes I was sitting at the intersection when he was turning right. He gave it hell and the rear end kicked out and couldn't correct it.
He survived and was walking
He's fine. Cut up but he's good. It was some tech at a dealership..
No, it was a younger kid. He was bleeding all over the place but I didn't want to capture it.

Drifting
I can totally see the dealership saying they're not responsible for the car's condition. After a couple of weeks of fighting the dealership will tell the owner they can credit him the valve of the car at it's current condition.
