Default Busted Air Dam

Anybody had to replace the rubber air dam under the front end of a 2015 -2016 Z06 ? Any recommendations on where to get one including aftermarket ?

I have been advised that the car can overheat without the air dam or with a damaged air dam.

Thanks

The front air dams are only on the side not the center. Z06 cooling air comes in through the grille not underneath the car. The C7 isn't a bottom breather like the C5 and base C6 models. They are designed to be replaceable and any of the GM discount parts houses can send them to you for not much money. You may even be able to get your dealer's parts department to sell them to you for not much money.

Gents,

Are you talking about the rubber parts under the splitter that point strait at the ground? If so mine had them 16 z07

Is it bad that we took them off today after we lowered it? Was told removing them was ok to do. Took all three pieces off. It was rubbing as soon as I hit the first bump so I couldn't wait to take them off.

Ok to do or do I need to put them back on?

I have a 2016 Z06

I think the lower air dam is not for cooling, but for high speed stability, so unless you are going to track the car, you should see no adverse effects.
