That statement is the joke...

The 2.9 IS A bolt on, and nothing you do will get you the gains you get of a simple 2.9 upgrade and tune with better breathing.

But hey, maybe you'll just buy a CAI, exhaust, a smaller pulley and get another 200 RWHP HP eh!

I guess I should of specified exactly what bolt on parts I meant. I stand corrected. Your right about just putting a CAI, exhaust and a smaller pulley and producing another 200 rwhp. I mean I have read it on this forum countless times. PLEASE FORGIVE ME SIR. It has got to be true if it's on this forum. I guess I should say that I'm getting a ProCharger F-1A and American Racing headers on as I write this.. There was a reason for my comment above..

That's a little different - LOL. I had a Vortech YSI on my 08 Z. It was a beast!

he said that when doing a blower set up for the z06 (which they will get into) they will do that blower design because it should fit under the z06s hood.

I really hope this one comes out since thats the biggest unit out there and going from a 1.7 to a 2.9 especailly in that new design should give great numbers.

Update.....
Will fit under z06 hood

what kind of power you think this thing will make, with all normal mods, heads, cam, meth etc? Also is this going to make low end power or since its bigger will it be more top end power?

I have a 2016 escalade with Whipple 2.9 making 565/573 at only 7.5 psi. Torque will hit tires just like the 1.7s but a lot more also mid to top end.

On a stock z06 with meth and no other mods at 14 to 15 psi which is sweet spot I can see it making 850 rwhp. The new Whipple 2.9 design is very nice. I can't wait to put it on my car.

it will be the bridge between stock and procharger. For 5500 bucks plus shippING and blower goes right on and uses existing lines very easy install

from the pictures of the Whipple blower on the Yenko car it doesn't look like there are lines for the Heat Exchanger cores like on the Camaro and CTSV variants, unless the lines are hidden in the available pictures that have been released.

So trying to read between the lines, does Whipple have a 2.9L available that now will fit underhood on a 2016 Z06?? I have held off installing a new SC for a new PD or Roots system. I am waiting to see who gets the first one to the market, Eaton with the TVS 2650R or Whipple with at least a 2.9L....

from the pictures at least from what I can tell they've either eliminated the heat exchanger cores to reduce height of the supercharger to fit under stock hood or they have an alternate design that retains the HE cores (but hard to tell since no coolant lines are visible from the available pictures). I don't think the Whipple z06 variant has HE cores like the TVS units or Whipple from CTSV/Camaro. I could be wrong but the pictures from the Yenko car are not promising.

That's why this is kind of appealing to me, just pops in, im guessing I wont even have to do heads or cam, and this unit will probably make another 150-200rwhp. but I just love the procharger, the way it sounds and makes huge h.p, the real question is do I really want that much h.p, my car makes 670rwhp now and its honestly ******* nuts, almost to much for the street now, 800 seems like it may be number im looking for and the whipple unit im sure will get me there, cant wait to see someone do this unit with the same mods as me

the whipple like the stock is a root style super charger, the procharger is a centrifical supercharger that runs of the front of the motor, runs off a belt, looks just like a turbo, the procharger has much larger units, and makes big power
