Another Vitesse Throttle Controller review!!!
I won't even beat around the bush. The best <$200 upgrade you can do to this car. I was very skeptical when I first found out about this but figured I could afford to gamble with $180. I'm SO happy I decided to get it.
The install was fairly painless. Getting behind the gas pedal was the toughest part. I ended up putting the controller inside the center console and even ran the wires without having to take the console apart.
After the initial install and programming, we had a check engine light come on. Came back to a MAP sensor issue and took three times to clear it. Once it cleared, however, it stayed cleared. I called Vitesse about the code and the gentleman told me that it's normal to have this code pop up at first. It's due to the difference in voltages between the throttle sensor and the MAP sensors.
One thing that wasn't discussed was the fact that there are actually TWO different things to set. We all use this thing to take the lag OUT of the stock unit. There is an "A" and a "B" button on the controller. The "A" button (EC 0-7) Isnused to ADD more lag to the throttle response. You'd probably use this when driving on icey roads. You can select a setting between 0 and 7 depending on how much lag you desire. Pushing the "B" button (SP 0-9) allows you to take the lag OUT. 0 is stock and 9 is crazy. The proper, or normal, setting would be to keep the "A" or "EC" setting on 0 while using only the "B" or "SP" button to adjust how much lag you want to take out. From what I've read on here and from playing with it all morning, I would suggest keeping it at around 4-6. It gets a little too jumpy beyond that.
All that said, I'm 110% satisfied by not only the product, but also the people at Vitesse. The gentleman I talked to on the phone couldn't have been more helpful and was a total pleasure to chat with.
THE BEST $180 you'll spend for this car!!!!

Is this one of those "does not affect your warranty" types of modifications? If so, I may be in.
Also, is this primarily for A8 or M7 drivers, or does that even matter?

How does this thing actually work to increase T/R? That's what I want to know!! I have a Ford GT with a Whipple 4.0 liter blower on it and it has zero hesitation at any throttle position...and even in factory tune/ setup, it had none. It was same T/R as an N/A ca. Why does the Z06 have it?

I have to agree here. Had mine installed a few weeks now and it makes a world of difference! Feels like a totally different car and the best part is that it's fully adjustable instantly. I keep mine at 7 mostly but adjust at valet or wife is in the car. Very cool mod! I have mine right under the start button. I have M7.

From different reviews I have read, it just changes the voltage sent to the ECU linked to the throttle pedal position. Lets say your pedal should sent 3V when depressed at half, the Vitesse will sent 4V+ to the ECU making it think that your pedal is about 80% depressed. That is just an example with fake numbers. But that is the idea. The initial setup just capture the mmin and mmax voltage value sent by your car. It will then play with the curve depending of the setup (0 to 9) you choose on the Vitesse.
You can also find several videos on youtube or other site showing that at about 1500rpm, changing the set from 0 to 9 will slowly increase the rpm.
Hope this helps

First off WOW!! Works as described, My sweet spot is SP6, Only took like 5 min to install. I only had the chance to test for like 5 min. Will review tomorrow after I get some time and miles on it. First impressions are Great. Also no codes followed the instructions worked like a Champ. One Question Does your LED light SP7 Stay on while the car is Off??

I agree with the OP. Great product. I installed mine 3 weeks back. I wasn't unhappy before, but no doubt it really brings the throttle response to life. I am usually set on a 5, but occasionally go up to 6. 8&9 are stupid fast IMHO.
The best way I can describe this product is to say that it has the feeling of adding actual RAW Horsepower. The way it throws you back, a 6 feels like you picked up 100 HP.
The pedal thing was a mild pain in the *** for a big guy like me, but very doable diy for anyone with basic skills.
