I was down in San Diego visiting some friends and we decided to cross into Tijuana to some street races. Both ends of the streets were closed.
My car is a 2016 Z06 A8 with cam, heads, pulley, intake, radiator, M/T Et Streets and E50 tune. The owner of the Yamaha R1 said his bike was fully built and has run 9.8s at the track.

I dont get it,there was a guy with stock head and cams with e-85 tune making 710whp.It seems like it could make more hp but maybe just the fact of different elevation an different dyno...Sounds good tho

My car looses about 2 psi's at our 4500ft elevation. Even through dynos correct for elevation they do not compensate for lost boost!

Don't get me wrong I have a 2015 Z06 and have another a 2008 that had about 750 under the hood and I went at it several times with 1000cc bikes
on rolldowns. Never had 1 go by me either. But for a hole shot that guy
on the R1 didn't get out well at all it should have been him out front and you catching him late.

I have a 1000 Ninja as well and it will beat my car for an 1/8th mile or so.

Whipping any 1000cc bike is huge for a car guy. But R1's are the slowest 1000cc superbikes. Looks like he cant slide the clutch too well.

You guys are all truly hilarious talking about pulling on an R1 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL. You might get it on the launch cause its hard to launch a bike but from a roll you guys will get MURDERED. I had an R6 before and would pull a Z06 no problem!!!!! The R1 is a 9 sec bike. You people are entertaining hahahaha. An R1 weighs about 450ibs and has about 190 horses......your z06 weighs 3500 and has 650 horses.....hmmmm lets do the math. Yupppp i'm sure you guys were pulling R1's all day :lol :

How many car groups block off freeways. I'm older, but, I have never been stupid enough to pull that! I also did own the original crouch rocket GSXR 1100, which, was nothing compared to the newer bikes.
Even more though I get pestered by stupid boys on bikes regularly. Not to mention the removing of the insurance off a brothers financed bike and then running it off a cliff. Freeway wheelies...the biggest morons driving are on those cheap bikes!

Lol i have never seen a freeway blocked off by bikers . I think you watch too many movies buddy or you live in really poor area. Perhaps they should all get rid of there bikes and trade them in for a crusty C5 with a ricer wing like the one in your profile.

Then after a driver not having it ran over one of them, they chased him down and beat the crap out of him in front of his wife and small child. Look it up you are really ignorant, this was all over the news. Hells Angels and the like killing each regularly...Cheap! is the draw my friend!

OP Im not at all trying to take away from your win, but it does appear you weren't up against a very good rider (or just that he had a horrible launch). Bikes are much faster than what many perceive them to be by those who have never rode 1. Nontheless, on that particular day he entered a battle that he loss. Nice kill!!
