I have a 2016 Z06/07 3LZ. On most Z06 Ive looked at it say's Z06 at the bottom. My steering wheel says "competition" at the bottom. Is there any reason for this or its just because that's what they felt like putting in this Z06.

I have competition seats on my MY15 and the steering wheel has Z06 on it.

in 16 the sw read comp if it has comp seats, in 15 sw remained Z06 with comp seats.

My 2016 Z06/Z07 with Competition seats was built in Feb this year - and it has "Competition" on the steering wheel.

That's a nice touch. I imagine those two only ship together, it didn't create an extra SKU of that wheel, so why not?

Is it a microfiber insert related option? I see the wheel is sueded too.

I believe the steering wheel switches from Z06 to Competition only when you select the Competition seats with suede inserts. The shift ****/boot and steering wheel also gets the suede treatment.

If you have Competition seats that are all leather without the suede inserts, then the steering wheel stays the same with the Z06 on the bottom.

That could be. As you can see in my pics in post# 6, I have the microfiber suede seat inserts on the Comp seats, steering wheel, and shift ****/boot, so maybe that's why I have "Competition" on the steering wheel.

I also have the Z07 package, and maybe that has something to do with it.

Not entirely true. My 2016 Z06 with competition seats says Z06 in which I'm glad as competition sounds stupid to me. Had to be a rolling change as mine was shipped on 7/27/15.

I have a 15' with comp seats and it reads "Z06". I am glad as I like the "Z06" much better.

Same here on my 2015!
Sorta weird since the wheel is the same with suede.

I can see the competition on the seat since they are a different seat but they had a brain fart putting on the wheel.
