One Z06 and one Stingray on fire at COTA 6/26/16
A friend of mine was at COTA yesterday and saw two Z06s go up in flames.
Both were apparently significantly modified at the same tuner shop.
There is some info and pics on one of them: https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi...id=18&__tn__=E
Ironically, one of the license plates was BURNEDU.
I also gather that everyone walked away unscathed.
Posting it just in case a member here owns or knows either of these cars so that they can inform everyone what mods not to do.

Boy, that is a tough day at the track.
Glad to hear the drivers are ok.

Melting Slicks
Based on the location of the flames and color of the smoke I am guessing a fuel rail/line came loose on the driver side. Glad everyone is ok! I hope they had insurance coverage for a track day!

Sounds like a cautionary tale on the realities of modding...

out of politeness it would be good to remove the license plate reference. they were methane injected supercharged engines that just did not make it...
