911 -1m 49,7 sec
0- 250kmh(155mph)
z- 21,4 sec
r8 -17 sec
911 -16,9 sec
I remember, 12-13 years ago they tested the s600(biturbo) w220
It did 0-250 kmh in 25 seconds. And the 2016 z does it in 21

What to you expect for $80,000 (ha ha)? Track times are relevant to a "racer" (and the A8 Z 06 is not a race car as the heat issue has been belabored ad nauseum and the reality is you never see a supercharged race car), but it has shown itself to be a good dragster. As for top speed, few if any here will ever see it and if they do , once or twice under very special circumstances, so top speed is an "ego trip", not driver experience.
The Z 06 is relatively inexpensive and all it takes, as in my case, is a few thousand more dollars to get 700+ rwhp, which now makes the car competitive with those you mention (at a much lower cost).
Importantly, at least to me, there is the "subjective". For example, I bought a Ferrari over a Mclaren (Mclaren is faster) because it "feels" better, i.e. the driving experience is enhanced. I sold a Twin Turbo Porsche and bought a Z 06 because the Porsche was "boring" (very fast, but boring), and find the Z 06 engaging. Different strokes and different criteria for all of us. Best

Its not fast in the straight line and still slower than the competitors on the track.
I hope ,GM will fix this when it gets a mid-cycle facelift. 2 much downforce.

U guys are just mad that the z06 is an overrated car.
Why did they claim that the corvette's gearbox is faster than the 911's pdk if its not the truth? This is a shame.
And not only its slower, but its also much dumber.As this magazine says.
Also GM swears that this is a track car. Ok, but why is it so slower than these 2? 4 seconds difference!! Its not a joke.
