Do you drive in Sport or Tour mode all the time, and/or do you have the exhaust system programmed to run all the time in "loud" mode? If you do, you should be seeing a carbon dribbling on the outer two exhaust pipes, nothing to speak of on the inside pipes. I can't say for sure, but it looks like condensation and water droplets coming out you exhaust pipes (the outer ones) when the weather is really humid or in colder outside air temps, when you first start driving it (on a cold engine).

Not that it matters, it takes about one minute (or less) to wipe down the outer pipes when I pull the car into the garage. I really like the looks of the factory stock chrome tips, so it"s worth it to me to go thru that exercise to keep them looking sharp. But, to each his own!

I used NEVER-DULL on my pipes. Cleaned them up real quick & easy.

having to wipe down the 2 end pipes every time I came back from a ride was just as much a pain in the drain to clean my black wheels every time I came back from a ride.so to stop that I painted the tips black and put powerstop brake pads on.now I can wipe the pipes and clean the wheels at my leasiure.

I use 0000 steel wool and it works great....but it sometimes takes a fair amount of elbow grease if I have not cleaned the tips in awhile. They get very shinny when done right.

Looks good, however I personally like the chrome look and usually takes me 3 secs every 50 miles or so to return them back to chrome when dirty. But good thinking if you do prefer the black.

I had black corsa tips on a stingray........ still a noticeable difference with the exhaust crap between the inner and outer pipes. Still had to clean. Let us know you experience after a few 100 miles and a couple of WOTs.

Does the carpet match the drapes?

Default pipes

3500 miles, one of the easiest areas to keep clean especially with fused pulled and only the outer tips being used.

I park on ugly plywood, but have exhaust with bling, not flat black.

Glad to hear it's still holding up well. I'll probably do the same in the spring.
